Rigging TD

We are looking to add talented Rigging Artists to our dynamic, growing, and passionate Rigging team! This position is 100% remote.



This is a contract role that reports directly to the Rigging Supervisor, and responsibilities will include:


  • Working with the CG Supervisor, Rigging, Animation, and Modeling Leads to identify the production's specific rigging needs
  • Creating and maintaining efficient, elegant character rigs in Maya that fully support an animation style that reflects the tone and style throughout the project
  • Defining and streamlining CG character rigging workflows, pipelines, and processes
  • Developing tools and frameworks for CG characters and other related assets
  • Communicating with production and supervisors regarding schedules and timelines
  • Flagging and solving potential problems to stay on schedule
  • Designing and implementing scripted solutions for maximum speed and efficiency of rigging


Rigging Artist must have the following experience and skills:


  • An excellent command of human anatomy, volume and weight, dynamics and character motion
  • Expertise in Maya, with strong skills in Python scripting
  • Solid understanding of the principles of animation and design
  • A good understanding of the entire animation/visual effects process, from modeling to texturing, animation and rendering
  • A self-starter mindset, with a team-oriented work ethic and excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in Houdini is an asset, but not required
  • Experience in inter-DCC workflows (Maya to Houdini, Maya to Unreal, etc.) is an asset, but not required
